Our Story

We are a global investment firm founded in Europe in 1985, under the Schroder Ventures name. We became Permira in 2001.

Today, we have more than 500 people in 15 offices spanning Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia.

Our Buyout, Growth Equity and Credit funds have total committed capital of over €85bn, have backed hundreds of businesses around the world, investing across multiple cycles.
