NEW YORK, December 9, 2020 – Duff & Phelps, the world’s premier provider of governance, risk and transparency solutions, today announced Jacob Silverman will assume the role of president and chief executive officer of the firm, effective January 1, 2021.

Silverman will succeed Noah Gottdiener, who has been Duff & Phelps’ chief executive officer since 2004. Following the transition, Gottdiener will serve as the firm’s executive chairman and he will remain chairman of the Duff & Phelps board of directors.

Gottdiener commented, "As I reflect on my time as CEO of Duff & Phelps, I am proud of what we have built but even prouder of what lies ahead. Jake and I have been partners at this firm since 2004, building it from 100 employees to nearly 4,000, and I can think of no one more qualified to lead Duff & Phelps into its next chapter of growth. I would like to thank all of our colleagues who have made

Duff & Phelps the global leader that it is today, and I look forward to continuing the journey in my new capacity.”

“It has been the professional privilege of my career to partner with Noah to build this company,” said Silverman. “As we continue on our path of growth, I am honored to lead Duff & Phelps into the future together with Noah, the full board of directors and our company’s management team.”

“Noah is an exceptional leader who has guided the firm through extraordinary transformation during his tenure, and I am pleased that he will stay actively involved with the firm,” said Olivier Sarkozy, Founder and Managing Partner of Further Global and Duff & Phelps board member.

“Together, Noah and Jake have been a dynamic team, helping to steer Duff & Phelps through dozens of strategic acquisitions, several ownership transactions and steady growth amidst turbulent economic times. I am certain that Jake and the rest of the firm’s leadership will continue the momentum for many years to come."
