  • Permira Funds to acquire majority stake in Flint Group from General Atlantic

  • Partnership to support Flint Group’s next phase of growth as it seeks to bring more trusted local brands onto its platform, expands into new markets and deepens its multi-trade offering

New York – November 5, 2026 – Flint Group (“Flint” or the “Company”), a founder-led US residential home services platform providing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and sewer and drains services, today announced that funds advised by Permira, the global investment firm (the “Permira Funds”), have agreed to acquire a majority stake in the Company from General Atlantic, a leading global investor. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2019, Flint has grown into a platform of 20 home services brands across 15 US markets. Its proven, scalable playbook across operations, training, recruiting and marketing has made it one of the fastest organically growing residential services platforms in the US.

Flint has built a track record of acquiring and integrating long-standing independent businesses and partnering with them to accelerate growth. It operates in a large, highly fragmented market, leaving significant whitespace in existing and new markets. Permira’s investment will support Flint’s next phase of growth as it brings more trusted local brands onto its platform, enters new markets, broadens its service offering and invests in the technology and talent behind its operating model.

Trevor Flannigan, CEO and Co-Founder of Flint, said: "We started Flint with a simple belief: great local home services businesses can become even better when you give people the right tools, training and support to win. That belief has guided us from day one and helped us build something truly special. Permira understands what makes our model work and shares our ambition for what Flint can become. I'm incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished alongside General Atlantic, and even more excited about what we'll build together in this next chapter."

David Erlong, Partner and Co-Head of Consumer at Permira, said: “Trevor and his team have built what we believe is one of the most impressive growth platforms in residential services, with a differentiated model and a strong track record of execution. We are excited to bring Permira’s experience of backing and scaling leading consumer platforms, alongside our deep digital expertise, to help the team accelerate Flint’s growth and extend its market leadership.”

Shreya Kadaba, Managing Director at Permira, added: “What stands out about Flint is how much room there is to grow. Home services is a large and highly fragmented industry, and Flint has built an experience that sets it apart for both customers and technicians. That creates significant whitespace, both in the markets Flint already serves and in new ones. We are excited to partner with Trevor and the team as they build on that advantage.”

Andrew Ferrer, Managing Director at General Atlantic, said: “We invested in Flint with strong conviction in the team’s ability to build a national platform through its disciplined, technology-enabled operating playbook. Over the past three years, Trevor and the team executed at the highest level, driving above-market organic growth while accelerating the pace of M&A, deepening the Company’s executive team, advancing digital marketing capabilities, and improving the customer experience. We are proud to have partnered with Trevor, Collin and Flint during this period of significant momentum.”

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of required regulatory approvals, and is expected to close by the end of 2026.
