Eric is a Senior Adviser at Permira.
Eric has over 25 years of experience across the healthcare and technology sectors. He serves as a Director, Advisor and investor in several healthcare and technology organisations. Eric is a Trustee of The University of Chicago Medicine and a former National Trustee of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
Eric most recently served as CEO of Velano Vascular, a medtech company that he co-founded and led through to its acquisition by Becton Dickinson. Velano received Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies, and Deloitte’s Fast 500 accolades. In 2021 Eric was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Northern California Bay.
Prior, Eric served in commercial leadership roles with Abbott Labs in the U.S. and overseas and was a founding member of Model N's Life Sciences division, where he led Marketing and Business Development. He began his career in Marketing with Trilogy Software.

Eric holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a Master in Education from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
