Julia Liuson
Senior Adviser
Julia Liuson is a Senior Adviser to Permira’s global Technology team.
Julia brings more than 30 years of leadership across enterprise software, developer tools, cloud services and AI. Most recently, as President of Microsoft's Developer Division, she led the company's global developer business, spanning programming languages, development tools, Azure developer services and DevSecOps platforms, including oversight of GitHub. Earlier, she held a series of engineering and business leadership roles at Microsoft, including leading Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, two of the world's most widely used development tools. In recognition of her impactful contributions, she was inducted into the Women in Technology Hall of Fame by Women in Technology International in 2019.
Julia currently serves on the board of Cadence Design Systems, and is board observer for Schneider Electrics and Elastic.

Qualifications
Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, USA.
