Khalid focuses on investment opportunities in the Healthcare sector.
Prior to joining Permira, Khalid worked for Smiths Medical, a Global Medical Device Company, as Vice-President and General Manager APAC. During his time Khalid drove a turnaround in the region delivering double digit revenue and profitability growth. Prior to that he spent five years with Alcon in Strategy and Commercial functions, five years with McKinsey & Co. and six years within the NHS as a surgeon.

Qualifications
Khalid holds a degree in Developmental Neurobiology BSc and a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Medical and Dental School. During his tenure as doctor, Khalid was a member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
