Managing Director
Merrill joined Permira Credit in January 2023. He is responsible for leading the origination and execution of new investments for Permira Strategic Opportunities.
Prior to joining Permira Credit, Merrill spent seven years at The Carlyle Group where he was most recently a Managing Director and European Co-Head of Carlyle Strategic Partners. Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs in the European Special Situations Group and Cerberus Capital Management. He has served on the boards of various companies as either director or observer. He began his career at Lazard.

Qualifications
Merrill holds an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, England.
