Together we achieved

  • The transformation of New Look into a leading international value fashion brand. This included a fast growing multi-channel offer, serving over 120 countries and generating 15% of total sales
  • An increase in sales and EBITDA by nearly double through attractive EBITDA growth rates and solid cash flow generation
  • Strong LFL growth and market share gains in the UK despite a challenging trading environment
  • Positioning New Look to continue to benefit from key growth trends in the global fashion industry including consumers’ preference for value brands, international expansion, fast response supply chain and multi-channel distribution

This was accomplished by

  • Appointing a strong management team led by CEO, Anders Kristiansen, with experience of international retail and multi-channel brand management
  • Investing in logistics and supply chain infrastructure to enable the development of an international, multi-channel, fast response supply chain, including most significantly a 75,000 sqm state-of-the-art distribution centre to improve product and range availability
  • Investing to improve the buying, merchandising and design department (BMD); as well as the development of an attractive offering in value fashion menswear
  • Developing and upgrading the core UK retail estate and supported international expansion into its key strategic markets in Europe, Poland and China; most importantly opening 30 stores in China where significant future growth is expected, with a planned store count of 70 for FY16
