NEW YORK / LONDON – October 22nd – Permira, the global investment firm, today announced the full realisation of the Permira Funds’ investment in Octus Intelligence, Inc. (the “Company” or “Octus”), the credit intelligence, data and workflow provider for the world’s leading buy-side firms, investment banks, law firms and advisory firms, through a sale to LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). The all-cash transaction values Octus at $3.535 billion and marks the Permira Funds’ sixth strategic exit of 2026 to date.

Octus is a leading global provider of intelligence, data and workflow solutions for credit markets. The Permira Funds acquired the company in 2022, partnering with Founder and CEO Kent Collier and the Octus management team to help them drive transformational growth through AI-led product innovation and strategic M&A, including through the acquisitions of FinDoxTM, Sky Road® and LevPro. Over the roughly four-year Permira hold, Octus has more than tripled ARR, driven by nearly doubling the number of products sold into the credit markets. Today, Octus serves more than 40,000 subscribers globally.

During the Permira Funds’ ownership, Octus established itself at the forefront of integrated, AI-enabled workflow in the global credit markets. Octus’ teams source hard-to-access credit documentation, including private fundamental data, covenants and deal terms, and turn it into structured and searchable agentic-ready data. In 2026 to date, the platform has executed more than four million automated classifications, one million structured data extractions and more than 250,000 content summary generations. By transforming millions of court filings, transcripts and financial documents into instant insights, Octus cuts analytical workflows from hours to seconds and returns tens of thousands of hours of high-value research capacity to its clients.

Daniel Brenhouse, Partner and Co-Head of Services, and Andrew Young, Partner, Technology, at Permira, said: “Octus is a strong example of how we invest: Services and Technology working as one team, pairing deep sector expertise with a digital core to help founder-led businesses become companies that strategic buyers want to own. When we invested in 2022, we saw a market-leading credit franchise with trusted, proprietary content. Over the course of the partnership, Kent and the team have turned that into an AI-native platform that credit professionals use in their everyday workflows. It has been a privilege to partner with Octus, and we wish Kent, the team and LSEG every success.”

Kent Collier, Founder and CEO of Octus, commented: “Permira has been a true partner through a transformational period for Octus. Their technology expertise and support for our strategy to expand our offerings beyond intelligence and content helped us expand our portfolio of products, both organically and inorganically, to all things credit, from fundamental data, document management and portfolio management tools. Our AI strategy and offerings have accelerated under their ownership, allowing us to become a market-leading AI platform for credit. We are extremely grateful to Daniel, Andy, Molly and the wider Permira team for their partnership and excited for what lies ahead with LSEG.”

David Schwimmer, Chief Executive Officer of LSEG, said: “Combining Octus’ leading proprietary data and intelligence with LSEG’s data and analytics business creates a powerful offering for our customers, and further accelerates our growth. Acquiring Octus enables LSEG to deliver best-in-class credit data, intelligence and workflows, across the liquidity spectrum, to a broader range of customers. LSEG’s existing data and analytics capabilities, alongside the acquisition of Trumid announced by Tradeweb and now the acquisition of Octus, position LSEG as a global leader in fixed income to partner with our customers throughout the trade lifecycle. I look forward to partnering with Kent and the team at Octus to continue to drive future growth.”
