Permira Appoints Ryosuke Okazaki as Head of Capital Formation for Japan

Tokyo, 11 June 2025 – Permira, the global investment firm, today announced the appointment of Ryosuke Okazaki as Head of Capital Formation for Japan. In a newly formed role at Permira, Ryosuke will oversee the firm’s investor relationships in the country, reinforcing Permira’s ongoing commitment to building and expanding long-term investor partnerships in Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Ryosuke brings over 15 years of finance and investor relations experience to Permira. He joins from Pantheon, where he was the founding member of the Tokyo office and was latterly Head of Institutional Investors focusing on the Japanese market for seven years. Before that, he worked for Mitsubishi Corporation Asset Management for five years. Ryosuke began his career in the Citigroup Investment Banking Division.

Permira has a well-established Capital Formation team in APAC, led by Stephanie Chung, Managing Director and Head of Capital Formation for Asia, including a well-established presence in South Korea led by Managing Director Yongsuk Kim.
