Doug Peterson is a Senior Adviser to Permira’s Services team.
Doug has more than four decades of experience in financial and information services. Prior to joining Permira, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of S&P Global for more than a decade. Under his leadership, the company transformed from McGraw Hill Financial into a global provider of data, analytics and benchmarks, completed the acquisition and integration of IHS Markit, and grew its market capitalisation from $16 billion to more than $150 billion.
Before S&P Global, Doug spent 26 years at Citigroup, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Citibank, CEO of Citigroup Japan and Chief Auditor.
Doug is Chairman of Carne Group, a Permira Fund portfolio company. He also serves on the boards of Morgan Stanley, the National Bureau of Economic Research, the Japan Society and Claremont McKenna College.

Qualifications
Doug holds an MBA in International Finance and Management from the Wharton School and a BA in Mathematics and History from Claremont McKenna College, USA.
