TeamViewer
Founded in 2005 in Göppingen, Germany, TeamViewer is a leading global provider of digital workplace solutions that provides a connectivity platform to remotely access, control, manage, monitor and repair a wide range of devices.

The Permira funds originally acquired TeamViewer in 2014 when the company generated c.€100m of revenues and employed 300 staff. Over the following decade, the company underwent a significant business transformation, transitioning into a pure SaaS provider and positioning itself for long-term scalability and revenue. TeamViewer successfully listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in 2019, and the Permira funds made the final realisation of their investment in the company in 2025.

In September 2025 at the time of exit, TeamViewer had ~650,000 subscribers across approximately 200 countries worldwide. The company employed around 1,900 people in offices across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific, having grown revenues seven-fold since the Permira funds’ entry to c.€700m.
